For your information: about us

Ninth Wave Arts is a not-for-profit organization offering educational opportunities grounded in the remembrance and reclamation of Folk Wisdom and Folk Arts.

You are being supported by a team of volunteers who are passionate about the work of Ninth Wave Arts.  We appreciate your offering, and we hope you appreciate our efforts.

We believe in community and the strength of diversity.
We trust spirit, the inherent wisdom of nature and the cycles of the seasons.
We celebrate the cycles of birthing, living and dying.
We honour the joy of creativity and self-expression.

Ninth Wave Arts operates on the land at Carp Ridge EcoWellness Centre.  We strive to honour, collaborate, and cooperate with all beings here.  We aim to stand present and flow in cycle with each other, the land, trees and critters as our inspiration.

Question 2 of 19

We want to build relationships with artisan vendors who express folk wisdom and folk arts in their creations, in both ordinary and non-ordinary ways. Whether you are all about making things that regular folk would enjoy or you're all about old magic, seasonal inspirations, nature connections and/or wisdom of both human and more than human folk, you will likely find Ninth Wave Arts a great fit for what you create.

If you feel like your creations would fit our style, mission and values, please continue on!

I feel it!

How we support our Artisan Vendors ...

We have lots of good stuff going on.

OUR SPACE
Our program space has a homey, community feel to it. A wood stove, tea & coffee station, kitchen, many comfy supports like pillows and blankets, crafting supplies, etc.. This  makes it a very inviting place to hang out!
People enjoy spending time here, and shopping in our boutique.
Our beautiful 7ft California redwood carved dragon stands as a gatekeeper at the entry, and many artisan crafted items decorate, adorn and offer energy to the whole atmosphere.

In other words, we are passionate about having hand crafted items in our space. We believe in makers and the stories that come from their hands into their craft.

BOUTIQUE
Our boutique is a dedicated room off our main program space. It's a popular browsing place during program offerings, and is also open dedicated hours through the week, and by appointment. If you are a boutique vendor, we create space in our boutique for your items and merchandise regularly to keep them feeling cared for. We also place your items on our online store, and handle pick-ups and mail-outs.

PROCEEDS:
We offer a 70/30% split. 70% to the vendor and 30% to Ninth Wave Arts to cover our efforts and base cost of operation. Pay-outs to vendors are issued on the 15th of each month, for the prior month of sales.

We invite you to participate in our seasonal artisan markets.

We invite you to submit an educational article to our monthly magazine.

We invite you to offer a program in our space. We are happy to chat with you about the process of getting it on our schedule.

How does this sound so far?

A

Sounds pretty good!

Here's a little more information ...

Once you've submitted this form, we'll be in touch with you to work out the practical details of getting your beautiful creations into our boutique.

Please be sure your items are priced in a clear way.

If you have special display stands and signage bring those along.

If you have business cards bring them along also.

Once your items arrive at our shop, we will display them for you and take photos of each item to load them into our online store.

And then we get rolling, inviting folks to browse your creations.
