About The Experience
Mystery in Motion Evening Dives are spacious practices in sound, contemplation, fluid movement, and stillness—each shaped by where we find ourselves in the turning seasonal cycle.
We begin with a doorway: a question, image, anatomical curiosity, story, or primordial, cultural, ecological, symbolic, or cosmological way of imagining the body.
We might enter the body as water. Listen into the architecture of bone. Explore our earliest developmental movements. Imagine the spine differently. Meet gravity as relationship. Consider body as landscape—or wonder where "inside" ends and "outside" begins.
We don't need to believe the idea.
We try it on—and then we move from there.
Supported by breath, vocal sounding, music, vibration, rhythm, and silence, we allow the contemplation to move from thought into lived experience.
Movement might be tiny and internal or larger and expressive. It might involve spiralling, reaching, rolling, shaking, sounding, travelling—or long periods of stillness.
There is no choreography and no movement to get right.
This is movement as inquiry.
And because each Dive happens in cycle, the practice changes with us. The body we encounter in winter is not the body we encounter in summer's fullness. Each evening asks what mystery—and what movement—belongs to this particular place on the wheel.
Experiencing a One-Day Mystery in Motion Immersion first is ideal, as it offers more time to explore the foundations of the practice, but it is not required.
You are welcome to enter through an Evening Dive with curiosity and no previous movement or somatic experience.
Come once, or return as the months turn and begin to notice your own body in cycle.
The body within the season.
The season within the body.
The mystery moving through both.
