Ninth Wave Arts Boutique: Featured Artist - Kenna McCall

“Each piece of jewellery I create is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. I believe that jewellery should be as unique and individual as the person wearing it.”

Kenna McCall is a lapidarist (gem-cutter) and metalsmith based in Merrickville. Kenna primarily makes art jewellery in silver or copper featuring the gemstones that she has sourced or mined, cut, ground and polished. She specializes in rare and local gemstones such as Perthite and also creates Viking Knit necklaces and bracelets, an ancient metal weave tradition which hasn’t changed in over 2000 years.

Her jewellery reflects Brutalist, Modernist and ancient Viking/Celtic inspiration. Kenna makes and sells her own jewellery, offers workshops and sells her cabochons to other jewellers. She has collaborated with other glass, ceramic and jewellery artists.

The Ninth Wave Arts Boutique is open and filled with treasures from artisans and travelling souls.
